Noteworthy comment: The aim of this article was to investigate the economic outcomes and relevance of HAART for people living with HIV. In general, HAART is more cost-effective than other therapeutic regimens available to date. As combination antiretroviral regimens have become more potent and popular in both developed countries and developing countries, it is important to administer HAART at the appropriate time and among appropriate people.
