Noteworthy Comment: The author is discussing the 'dirty laundry' of the sleep medicine field, which has generally ignored obvious problems with its main metric. In essence, we should not be shackled by the somewhat dubious apnea/hypopnea index criterion adopted by some insurance companies for decisions on whether or not to cover therapy.
