Noteworthy Comment: As the dual epidemics of obesity and diabetes progress unabated, current limitations in treatment have been starkly outlined by the results of several studies, including ADVANCE, ACCORD, and most recently, LOOK AHEAD.
This selective perspective of where we have been and where we are going in order to lower the risk of heart disease in diabetes offers insight into the pathway, and its timing.
