Dr. Akash Batta has completed MD internal medicine and DM cardiology from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. Currently he is working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Cardiology at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

He has keen interest in academics and research as evident by numerous publications in reputed International and national indexed journals. He serves as a peer reviewer for more than 30 reputed international journals and is on the editorial board panel for multiple cardiology and medicine journals. He has published more than 50 high impact peer reviewed articles over the last 3 years. He recently won the coveted young scholar of the year (CSI travel award) at the annual CSICON 2022 which is the highest Cardiology level meeting in India.

Dr. Batta takes keen interest in patient care and management while balancing the academic life. His key areas of interest include peripheral and structural interventions. He runs a dedicated weekly pulmonary artery hypertension clinic, the first of its kind in Northern India.
