Aims and Scope

ClinicoEconomics and Outcomes Research is an international, peer-reviewed open-access journal focusing on Health Technology Assessment, Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research in the areas of diagnosis, medical devices, and clinical, surgical and pharmacological intervention. The economic impact of health policy and health systems organization also constitute important areas of coverage.

The aim of the journal is to rapidly and concisely publish outcomes studies, methodologies, reviews, and reports across all disease areas. In addition, evaluations investigating prescribing behavior, practice guidelines, cost-of-illness, cost of treatment, and cost-effectiveness will be welcome. The journal will also specifically explore patient reported outcomes, satisfaction, preference and adherence, willingness-to-pay (WTP), cost-utility, cost-benefit, disease management strategies, and drug health & policy. Papers reporting on the effective deployment of diagnostic, screening, clinical and surgical interventions, and the use of medicines and devices to maximize healthcare resources for the benefit of the patient will be given particular priority.

ClinicoEconomics and Outcomes Research will no longer consider meta-analyses for publication.
