Dr Musser

Editor-in-Chief: Dr. Jeffrey Musser

Dr. Musser is an Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and an Adjunct Professor with the University of Malawi, Bunda College of Agriculture. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Board-certified in Dairy.

During Dr. Musser’s PhD program at North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, he investigated antimicrobial disposition and mastitis control practices in dairy animals. Following completion of his research, he served in a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship with the U.S. Agency for International Development in the Center for the Environment. Dr. Musser has served on the Board of Scientific Reviewers for the American Journal of Veterinary Research, has been a reviewer for multiple journals and grant programs, and has served as a member of national and international scientific advisory committees and fellowship committees.

Currently, Dr. Musser is engaged in research and teaching in the professional veterinary curriculum. His research activities encompass pharmacokinetic studies, bacteriology, and vaccine development with focus on dairy and small ruminant health issues. His teaching includes areas of infectious diseases, bacteriology, and emergency and foreign animal disease preparedness.
